Information Resources

Over 20,000 health professionals from more than 150 countries use AED-SATELLIFE's free information resources.

Health workers in the developing world experience information poverty and professional isolation on a daily basis in their work. AED-SATELLIFE specially designed a suite of electronic information service tools to help connect health workers with each other and with relevant, useful, and reliable sources of knowledge.

"HealthNet News has transformed the way our hospital accesses medical information. Previously, our medical books were seriously outdated by 10 years or more. But now we feel that we have access to up-to-date information through HealthNet News. We have regular teaching seminars in our hospital and I used HealthNet News material in preparing my presentations and in discussions after presentations. My colleagues are also reading and using the information.

I am now working to distribute HealthNet News information to over 18 district hospitals. For the time being, this is the only way for them to receive access to current medical information as most cannot afford to buy medical journals or books."
